You have something to offer. I’ll help you put that bright idea into words.

What you do and why you do it. Communicate that clearly, and you’re sure to be magnetic to the right people. That sounds so simple, doesn’t it? But being confident with your “what” and “why” can be hard. You know, because you’ve tried to find the words.

What if I told you the next right step isn’t looking for better words, but making space? Would you be curious to learn more?

Hi, I’m Rumi. I’m a writer and a coach.

Newsletters, websites, blogs, bios, presentations, event listings, service and product descriptions, email campaigns, client stories, pitches, scripts, handbooks, and social media posts. The workplace involves so much content and copy!

I make sure that the words on the page urge people to feel, think, know, and take a step forward—whether I’m writing for you or guiding you through the writing process.

I’m also the author of I Want To Remember This, a book about recognizing the tiny moments that make up a life. You can learn more about me here.

A sampling of my work.

Executive coaching.

Writing a personal letter is one of the most memorable ways executives can communicate. When you choose a key message and infuse your story with lived experience, your letter invites trust and connection. I coached this executive through the writing process, from raw idea to “finished”.

Website creation.

Need a new website? Then it’s likely your business is evolving, too. I took this program’s leaders through a discovery process into who they’re becoming before I wrote copy. And they ended up giving their business model a big edit and lift by the time they got this updated website.

Storytelling.

Many of us think persuading is yucky and manipulative. And yet, convincing another person we have a good idea is something we all do daily. Truly powerful persuasion is clear and kind (and often involves a story). How so? Learn from how a woman was convinced that she wanted to volunteer.
